Sir/Ma’am, I’m unable to download any app from the App Store ( whether free or paid app). It’s been quite a while since I’m facing this issue. A window ,”AUTHENTICATION FAILED” pops up every time and I’ve even tried to add a new payment mode and tried deleting the current one.. Nothing seemed to happen.. kindly suggest how to go about it.

Are you getting that error message during the initial log in? Do you have access to another WiFi network where you can try? That has worked for several people.
Try a restart.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Try a forced restart.
If necessary
Do a backup and try a factory reset. Then restore from your backup.
Backup - Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
