Exporting as a Poly WAV file in Logic 10.5

Hi all, i want to create a 4 channel poly wav from a project made up of a number of 4x mono tracks. Can this be done? I can't seem to find a render configuration that will do it...

I don't want to mix them together in any way. They must remain unmixed, but be combined into one 4 channel polywav.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

FYI this is to manage ambisonic sound recordings - created as 4x mono files, but need to be combined to convert from A format to B format.

Thanks

1. Go to Preferences > Audio > I/O Assignments > Output

Set your Surround Option, because you like to bounce 4-tracks, I would choose "quadrophonic".

2. Go to Preferences > Audio > I/O Assignments > Bounce Extensions

to name the bounce extensions

3. In the mixer Select Surround as output on the channel-strips you like to mix. The Master Fader automatically changes to multi-meter. If you press bounce, a multi-track-file will be created.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I did try your method, but what I got is a Single Track surround file. That's not what I want, I have used a 10 channel recorder (https://www.thomann.de/gb/sound_devices_mixpre_10_ii_orca_bag_bundle.htm), and recorded a NT-SF1 and a Stereo Pair at the same time which is 6 tracks in total. The Sound Devices recorder had created a poly wav file and it includes all 6 tracks in one file. I would like to separate them by just taking the 4 channel NT SF1 recording and exporting them into another Poly Wav file, if that makes sense.😊

But thanks for your effort and response.

Thanks for your reply again. I have found out the answer.

Logic does not bounce a poly wav out. In order to get a poly wav out, you can download a free plugin from sound devices where you can separate the poly wav to individual mono file or merge individual mono files into poly wav. The application can be downloaded from https://www.sounddevices.com/download/ Wave Agent. It is quite old but it gets the job done. Hope this helps for anyone whos in need.
