Unable to update email accounts on iPhone

Suddenly, my 2 email accounts (Yahoo & Hotmail) will not update with new emails on my iPhone! I have emails from Monday, 9/14/20, but nothing new. I updated my iOS to 14 thinking this might help the issue, but sadly no. I tried to delete/add the Hotmail account again, but it says the server isn’t responding or the SSL isn’t working & would I like to try without the SSL. When I say to go ahead without SSL, it says it won’t work either! It’s so weird since it was working just fine on Monday! I haven’t seen anything on either Yahoo’s or Hotmail’s sites as to an issue, so I’m a bit confused as to how to correct this issue! Please help!! I’m only an amateur in understanding how this stuff works, so a “for dummies” approach would be appreciated! Thanks in advance for any help offered!
