Since the latest update the volume buttons don’t increase the volume and there no sound from the speakers and control centre volume is none responsive.
I am still having this problem on IOS 14.3 I had to completely erase everything and back it up from the cloud to fix it.
The first patch did not fix it. Still getting this issue. Shutting down will temporarily resolve this issue about 50% of the time. Crazy how a software bug can screw up my phone so much. Honestly kind of embarrassing that Apple would let a bug this big into production (and not put a hot fix out ASAP).
Check to make sure
Settings -> Sounds & Haptics -> Change With Buttons
is still enabled.

Thank you for your reply William. I called Apple support 3 times this evening. Had a complete reset of the phone and it still does not work.
The final proposal from the agent was to book a genius bar appointment. Cost will be $700 if they cannot fix and have to give me another Xs iPhone!!!

just FYI, I tested and listened to different ringtones through « Accessibility » and the sound comes loud and clear on the ear speaker. This would means that there is no hardware issue on the phone.
