It may be an issue between your Watch and the iPhone.
the phone starts heating as soon as i start using it. It took me 10 secs to write this and the phone is already hot. No background app is running. This happened right after the update. The phone never heated like this even after 2-3 hours of using it!!
I update mine on 16th September. The heating started yesterday (20th September 2020). On checking the battery under settings, it show the health app is at 67%. Any ideas on why this might be so? Health app consuming alot of power.
Go to Settings > Battery and see what apps are using up most of your battery. Facebook was overheating mine last night.
If nothing is running, and you already checked the battery settings, the phone might be updating the spotlight index. Let it run for awhile and then check it tomorrow or the next day.
I have updated this Friday. Does it take so long? :(
No, the most I've seen is 72 hours. If you updated on Friday you should have a use history showing in Settings > Battery.
Do you have an Apple Watch?
Remove it from your recently used apps and restart your iPhone.
Yes I do. Series 2.
I have removed all recently used apps. I have switched off and then on both my iPhone and Apple Watch but still the issue persists.
What do you recommend?
Should I reset the watch or the phone? Or should i reset both?
Both
