I want to connect my mac book pro 2020 with i pad air 2 model A1566 to extend my screen. Is it possible to do it wirelessly?If yes how is it possible? I checked with sidecar but it does not work.

Not with Apple only. There are 3rd party apps that work over USB, like Duet Display. I have no experience with them.
