I saw an interesting hint today about a new camera setting that lets you keep the mirrored mode in the front camera so you get what you see.
But the setting doesn't seem to exist on either my iPhone X, or my 2018 iPad Pro.
Any idea why?

It sounds like you're having trouble with mirrored selfie and we can help.
The option to mirror the front camera isn't available on iPhone X:
"The Mirror Front Camera is available on iPhone XS, iPhone XR, and later."

Why? There is no reason this feature should not be updated to the iPhone X. Pretty sad too, when it shows up in Tips, but is not available. :(
