Apple Watch won’t pair

My watch says it has too many attempts and I need to re pair it. But I also have a new I phone and didn’t realize it needed to un pair it before turning it in. Now I don’t have the old phone and I can’t get my watch to work. Pls help

On a computer, go to iCloud.com and sign in with your Apple ID.

Go to Find Iphone.

Select All Devices, then click your Apple Watch.

Click Erase Apple Watch.

Select Next until the device is erased.

Click the remove button next to your Apple Watch.
