IOS14 update and Apple ID default

When I updated my iPad to os14, it wanted me to sign in with my Apple ID to set up 2-factor authentication. I am glad to have this security, but it defaulted to my husbands Apple ID. Not mine (not the Apple ID I have on this device). So, I bailed out.

Turns out I did upgrade to 14, but did not set up 2-step authentication. Can I do it now?

You can set up 2 Factor Authentication now. See the steps in the article below.
