can you force a locked phone to backup

my phone is locked and I think I am going to have to factory reset, I see that my phone has not backed up in a while. Is there a way to get the phone and my recent pictures to download to the cloud before I factory reset?

If you mean it is disabled, then no. Once disabled, it must be erased in iTunes to reset it.
