discord wont open?
since downloading the newest update for MacBooks, discord wont open. I even threw away the application and re-downloaded it. any ideas as to whats going on? anyone else had this issue?

FWIW, the latest Discord works just fine with the latest High Sierra.
Does going to Discord's web site with Chrome/Chromium work for you? Discord for MacOS is an Electron app -- kind of a front-end to Chrome. If it's breaking, it's possible you may have something generally wrong. But, it's also possible there's just some need to do a cleaner uninstall. Book in Safe Mode to clear your caches. Try AppCleaner or other apps that do a deep-clean after removal. Sometimes, just throwing an app in the Trash just won't cut it. Often, the tech support for any given app won't know much beyond "put in the Trash", especially if they're using a multi-platform frameworks like Electron.
