Is it safe to turn off FileVault and then turn it on again?

Hi,

I forgot where I have put / keep the Recovery Key to FileVault of my MacBook (macOS Mojave).

And I suspect I chose to have Recovery Key instead of using my iCloud account to unlock it, as shown on the current FileVault option on my MacBook:

I read that I can choose to use my iCloud account to unlock it, so I'd rather have that option than forgot where I have kept the Recovery Key, or worse lost it altogether.

Is it safe if I turn off FileVault on my MacBook now, and then turn it on again immediately so I can choose to allow macOS to unlock it with my iCloud account?
