unable to add printer to mac

HI All,


I am trying to connect printer (canon C5035i) through IP address and keep getting error "Unable to connect to 10.1.7.16 due to an error". I have tried 3 protocols (IPP, LDP and HP Direct) still same. I can add other printers without any problem. I tried on different mac and same issue. I have less exposure to MAC and not sure how to troubleshoot further. Please help!!

MAC OS version: Catalina & Sierra

It appears that you are having an issue connecting and printing to your Canon C5035i printer. You are getting an error "Unable to connect to 10.1.7.16 due to an error". You are able to add other printers and are not able to add this printer to another Mac. You can take a look at the following support articles to sort out what may be going on.

If you are still not able to add this printer, since it is not adding to multiple Macs, you may want to touch base with Canon support to see if they have some suggestions.
