After an update YouTube freezes when I pause video. The menu doesn't pop up and I need to restart the app every time.
I did reset the device and it didn’t help.

download 8.4.3 via or apple tv 3

run itunes
Disconnect the HDMI cable from Apple TV box
connect micro usb cable to apple tv box
connect micro usb cable other end to computee
connect the power cable (230Vac UK) or (110ac USA) etc.
wait 2 minutes for USB driver to be detected.
Click the tiny Apply TV symbol under Account.
Press and hold the Shift key and click restore icon. a pop up windows explorer appears.
Click the pre-download file and accept.
Await several minutes for the update.
Disconnect from the laptop. Reconnect HDMI cable to TV and away you go.
Login etc. I would recommend switch off automatic updates until this bug is fixed.
Change Location
Change Country
Log into Itunes etc and youtube.
Now i need a cold beer.

Ah. No problem. I never watch Apple TV+. I think it is not free. I don't like to spend money. I have enough TV anyway.

I have the same issue. My Apple TV stopped working suddenly a couple of weeks ago.

Could it be they want to sell us movies? This kind of reminds me of when my iPhone alarm stopped working when they came out with the Apple watch.

This has been broken for months. Please just fix it or provide a simple downgrade process!

I'VE DONE THAT TOO, BUT IT AUTOMATICALLY INSTALLS THE LATEST SOFTWARE ON ITS OWN.
If I do that, will it stop nagging me every day that there is a new software update?

This step is very important. Be sure to not overlook it.
There is a third and better alternative. Take the Apple TV outside and smash it with a hammer.
Already bought a cheap Amazon fire stick.
Not going to buy apple tv again in fear the will just break there own machine for me
Better yet, take it back to the Apple store and tell him to recycle it. Perhaps they will get the idea they’re shooting themselves in the foot with this decision.
