My phone updated to iOS14 and now my camera just shows a black screen in every app that I try to use it with. How can I fix this?

First, force quit the camera app—>How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
If that doesn’t fix it restart your phone—>Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

After upgrading to iOs14, if any third-party apps (e.g. Instagram) can no longer access your iPhone's Camera, try these steps:
1. go to Settings > Privacy > Camera
2. see if the third-party app is set to "Disabled" (greyed out)
3. if that's the case, then change it to "Enabled" (green).
