My Apple TV isn’t connected to the network and I misplaced the other remote. I have tried the menu and volume up system but it hasn’t worked. The Apple TV just blinks and that’s all. How do I fix this problem?

The remote seems to be working with the Apple TV but the problem is that the Apple TV is already connected to another remote and I have misplaced that other remote. When I press down the menu and up buttons the Apple TV light blinks
The Siri Remote is compatible with the Apple TV (4th generation or later), not earlier models. [1]

Then you need to either find the missing remote or replace (and re-pair) it.
