Date missing on Apple Watch after update
I updated my watch and now the date is missing from the watch face. I’ve checked the settings and see nothing about setting the date. Anyone else notice this?

The you should go to the App Store and reinstall it. I do not know if having the google calendar will interfere but if it still doesn’t work you might uninstall it and restart your phone with just the Apple calendar. Let us know if you have to remove the google calendar. Good luck
I went ahead and did what I suggested you do. First I took off apple calendar. As I expected this removed the date complication from my watch. I then installed Google Calendar and integrated it with iCloud and all my stored apple calendar accounts. Google calendar worked as I expected as I had used it in the past. I then installed the apple calendar on my phone and the date complication reappeared on my watch face. I now have two working calendars on my watch.
If you don't want to see or use the apple calendar on your phone edit your phones screen and choose remove calendar. Instead of deleting it move it to the new App Library. Then you don't have it on your screen. The only thing you have to do is not delete your google calendar and just reinstall the apple calendar. It wasn't a pain in the butt. Took me a few minutes to do the experiment. Good luck.
Ok I just got it to work. I downloaded the calendar to my phone, restarted my phone and watch, and then I was able to add the date to my watch.
I use the infograph face.
I hope this doesn’t cause pains later, bc I don’t like using the Apple calendar at all.
Yep. You have to have the default calendar on the phone in order to use it in the complications for the watch. Bummer. I called Apple support and basically taught them how to do it. Thanks for your help!!
Yes, Delete the calendar app from your iPhone and reinstall it. That fixed it on my watch. Good luck
The only calendar app I have is google calendar. I don’t have the one that was standard on my iPhone.
Did you get this figured out? I’m in the exact same boat. I only use Google calendar. Deleting it and redoing my settings sounds like a pain.
I haven’t yet. It does sound like a pain in butt. I also don’t want to have to drive to the Apple store just to get an answer. I may just call them and see if they’ll tell me what to do.
Haha awesome, love when that happens 😄 Glad we figured it out!
