Import option in Photos gone with IOS 14

Iphone xs and ipad 2019 both on 14.1 and without any option to import (in photos/files app) from apple sd card reader 😒

That was very helpful. Thank you! I will just add the iPad has to be held horizontally (landscape view) for the menu to appear on the left side of the screen.

I just updated, and cannot import photos. I found the device sidebar, but still can’t import any photos I just took today. What am I missing?

My cards don’t have names. Put the reader in and it doesn’t recognize it.

i had not done a shut down since the update. I think that may have been the issue.

Sidebar is on ipad, I'm not sure what to do on my iphone....

since updating to iPADOS14.1, I do not get an import option when i try to load photos from an SD card. What is going on?

I have found the devices to do imports but photos are not shown and import just ceased

Marbletiger, I still can’t figure it out. Do not see anything in sidebar that says devices, and no “browse” at bottom of page.

I’m having the exact same problem. I am so unhappy about this. I have done a hard shut down and restart to no avail. It just doesn’t work anymore .
