This password is not secure. Try a different password.
I’m trying to create a new Apple ID for work, and no password that I put in will be accepted.
it will tell me at first that it’s a moderate or strong password, but as soon as I click in the second field to type it again, it shows the first field as highlighted red. Then when I submit it says the same error every time. “This password is not secure. Try a different password.”
Everything I put in meets the three criteria.
My office has a system for generating passwords for accounts that someone else might need to access (a team member), so I started there. No dice.
Then I moved on to random letter/number generators, up to 20 characters. Nope.
Then I tried the Safari suggested 12-digit password. Still nada. (Screenshot attached)
This is my second session of trying to do this, the first being over a month ago. I can’t find any reports about it online, surely I’m not the only one?
