Oracle Virtualbox and Gatekeeper

Is Oracle Virtualbox recognised by gatekeeper? It keeps on Crashing whenever I try to run a virtual machine!!

Yes I have experienced issue with VirtualBox ver 6.1.14 myself on Catalina —

Freezes the entire machine requiring a forced shutdown/reboot.


You might have better luck... https://forums.virtualbox.org/



I will add— my Windows10 is a "Release Preview" version, prior to RTM (release to manufacturing) build. —consequently no updates. However never had an issue with Virtualbox and this Windows build previously. YMMV.


I did not qualify for a free version of Windows10 during the transition, and refuse to give Bill Gates any money.
