Oracle Virtualbox and Gatekeeper

Gatekeeper would have nothing to do with an app crashing.

It just confirms that the software has been signed and notarized, or allows you to override it.

Yes I have experienced issue with VirtualBox ver 6.1.14 myself on Catalina —

Freezes the entire machine requiring a forced shutdown/reboot.

I will add— my Windows10 is a "Release Preview" version, prior to RTM (release to manufacturing) build. —consequently no updates. However never had an issue with Virtualbox and this Windows build previously. YMMV.

I did not qualify for a free version of Windows10 during the transition, and refuse to give Bill Gates any money.

FWIW, VirtualBox 6.1.14 runs fine for me in Catalina 10.15.6.
