Accessories not responding in Homekit on watch.

Since installing the latest update, I have not been able to access devices via HomeKit on the watch only. I have no issues controlling them via iPhone or iPad. Anyone else having this issue?

Apple Watch Series 5, watchOS 7

I'm having the same issue. Works fine with ipad and iphone, but no accessories responds in apple watch.

Upgraded to 7.0.2 but that didn't help.

Everything used to work before upgrading to watchOS 7.

Restarted everything, unpaired/paired watch with phone. Nothing helps

I have had several troubleshooting sessions with Apple Support on this issue, including uploading diagnostics and screenshots for engineering to look at. Today I was told that they believe this is a software bug and they are working to include the solution in an upcoming update. I was not given any timetable for this. So all we can do for now is keep our devices updated to the latest software.

I was seeing the same thing. Watch is on 7.1, Phone is on 14.2. I saw elsewhere in this issue the advice that I should open HomeKit on the watch and select a device that wasn't responding. I noticed that none of the devices were responding. I left the HomeKit app open on my watch while I was trying to figure it all out and noticed that one of the devices was finally "found" and so were all the others after a few minutes. When you open HomeKit on the watch, to the left of the time, there is a small circular animation that, I believe, illustrates that all the devices are being refreshed. It took a few minutes for it to stop. Now when I open HomeKit on the watch the animation runs for about 20 seconds and stops but it appears that all the devices are found.

I look forward to Apple correcting the bug.

Still no luck on my nuki locks. Outdoor netatmo cameras are all functioning and I am getting video feeds on my apple wat h but one of them says shows no respons for the floodlight function. Really looking forward to the update with bugfix.

Will have new meross garage openers installed on Friday. Hope they work with watch because taking out phone defeats the entire purpose.

The problem in my home no longer seem restricted to the apple watch. On my iphone 12 pro max, with ios 14.2.1 homekit on my nuki locks comes and goes. At this exact moment homekit gas also lost connection to my 4 netatmo outdoor cameras. All these devices work fine from within the dedicated manufacturor apps. It is homekit that is the culprate and is simply not functioning.

Right now the only devices shown without no response issues are my appletv, and a meross smart plug. This is getting unreasonable really fast!

how do I get in contact with concrete apple support because I am pretty much done with homekit.

Wow, I’ve been suffering from this problem the whole autumn, using IKEA’s Trådfri-lights. Isolated the problem to the Apple TV 4k, when I disable the Home Hub from the Airplay and Homekit-settings the devices start responding on my Apple Watch 6 again (had the same problem before also on the 3). So the Apple TV seems to be the problem, restarting didn’t help and I’m on the latest software version. Apparently need to wait for an update to fix it (I imagine there’s been a few along the autumn so good luck with that) but might just have to retire an iPad and make it the home hub for now... Oh Apple...

Nuki locks tells me I have to have the appltetv hub within bluetooth range of the locks, because their wireless bridge were not allowed to be homebridge compluant by apple, just the locks. I will have to try that. But ovviously appletv is connected to audiovisual devices so not something you place behind your front door or in the garage. Buying a second appletv just to make my locks work with homekit seems insane. Anyway, the front foor and the garage doors are at least 15 meters apart. I would have to buy two!

That makes sense, and would explain my August lock/bridge issue. I recently got a HomePod mini, but I have it right next to the Apple TV, so it's not helping connectivity right now. I might move it to another part of the house so it can be the hub, or share the hub-ness with the Apple TV.

For a few months, I didn't have either (I sold the HD version to upgrade to the 4K one), and had to use an iPad Pro as a hub (centered in the house); it was worse. The HomePod mini helped a bit; the Apple TV helped more, even thought it's by the HomePod mini.

I have the same issue. I can controll my homekit (paired Philips Hue Bridge) on all devices, except from my Apple Watch. Accessories show up in the Home app on my app but it says they are not responsive. This is becoming very annoying. I would appreciate a proper snswer (I have the latest OS and so on). The sane thing hapoens from my sifes Watch as well
