MacBook Pro not opening. Spinning globe and WiFi symbol only for half hour. Help

MacBook Pro is old. Does not start now. I can see spinning globe and WiFi symbol. Over half hour. Please helpi

Try this


Reset SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

Reset NVRAM https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063

Turn on the Mac holding Shift to startup in Safe Mode. It's a bit longer boot because macOS does some maintenance under the hood that can solve some problems.


If it doesn't work, you should try a reinstall of macOS.


Try also run the Apple Hardware Test https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202731 and check if shows any errors.


Check if your HD is not failing. Maybe replace it with an SSD and you'll also get a lot faster machine.
