Apple Watch Series 6 with Solo Loop too big?

Does anyone know what to do when the solo loop band purchased with the Series 6 is slightly too big? I verified that I printed the size guide at 100% with a credit card/license and even ordered sized down, but now that I have it I'm getting errors with the heart measures that the band is too loose.

Is there a way to return just the band to get the correct size? Am I SOL? Has anyone else had to exchange the band that came with the watch?

I ordered online, but I do have a store locally that has hours - the line can get long even with an appointment during COVID (upstate NY).

According to an article on AppleInsider you must return the entire package, watch and all.

At this point you need to call Apple, they don't think a plan is in place yet with the stores so it's best to get that Case ID for the problem started with them in my opinion. With the people I have spoken to we went down 2 sizes for me as I could put a wine cork between the band and my wrist for it to get tight.

I received my watch this past Friday. I printed and followed the printout and ordered a size 6. But it was too big. I made an appointment and went to the Apple store on Saturday and also brought the watch box with me. They were able to exchange only the loop, not the watch itself, but they did need the serial number off the box.

They actually want just the band back. I called 1 800 MYAPPLE, they also wanted some data and video.

Hi, I received mine yesterday....Measurement Tool said a 12 but it's probably 11 (10.5 would be exact probably)....Will Apple accept exchanges with what's going on you think?

I am lucky enough to live close to an Apple Store. I arranged a Genius appointment and they swapped my oversize Band. Delighted with the approach and the service
