Outlook Complication stopped working on 1st Gen Apple Watch w/ Watch OS 4.3.2, iOS 14 and Outlook 4.56

The Outlook complication on a 1st Generation Apple Watch seems to break and then again work repeatedly. I first noticed it this time with iOS 13.7, but may go back to iOS 13.6. and Outlook version 4.50.0 or earlier.  I'm now on Outlook 4.56.0 and iOS 14 to no avail. Anyone else having this issue and a solution? I've done the standard remove/reinstall of Outlook on the watch, rebooted both devices, etc. My history on this problem tends to point to this being on the Microsoft side of things, and I've asked in the Microsoft forum, but thought I'd try here too.
