Is there away to lock a clip (like you would a track in PP)? I have an adjustment layer and many time I find myself accidentally dropping an effect etc. on it and not realizing it for a bit. I'd like to be able to unlock as well, if needed.

You can turn off/disable all added effects by unchecking the Effects option in the Inspector:
Unchecking this option will keep any effects you might accidentally add from affecting the appearance of your media.
You can selectively turn effects on and off by toggling the individual effect's check mark as well.
