Hello All,
Yes, like Gregory I unpaired my watch, synced my phone, erased it and restored it from the cloud. It wasn’t easy and it took a few hours to get it all done. There were a few times I thought I would not be able to restore my phone when I needed to get a code from my other iPhone. Thank goodness I was able to find it. I won’t be so smug anymore whenever a friend with a Samsung says he has a better phone.
I was disappointed that all the runs, walks, hikes and workouts that didn’t sync to my phone did not show up when I restarted everything. The workouts that were on my watch and not synced to my phone are no longer on my watch and seem to be gone for good.
But yes, this morning after my run my workout sync’d perfectly with both heart rate and map data. Let’s hope it stays that way.
But this has dissolved the myth in my mind that Apple makes great products. They make mistakes just like everyone else.
Thank you,
Jim
