MacBook Pro 2019 16'' external cam not recognized via KVM

I am using a KVM with my MacBook and find out that it cannot recognize my external camera which is connected to the KVM. It can actually detect the hardware via KVM but does not consider it as a cam (see pic).

• The cam can be used if connected to the Mac (without the KVM)
• The cam can be used if a Windows laptop is used instead of a Mac (with the KVM)

Given the hardware can be seen from the USB connection info in the Mac, I think both the KVM and the cam are working fine.
