Trying to pair my watch to my new phone

I recently got a new phone

and I am trying to pair my Apple Watch to it

Apple Watch Series 3, watchOS 6

Follow the steps in this article:

How to pair your Apple Watch with a new iPhone - Apple Support

As far as I know, you can have multiple watches paired to an iPhone, but not the other way around.
