If you have a 3 month free trial for an individual plan can that be switched into a family plan but still have the 3 month free trial? Or would it cancel the individual plan and go as what the family plan normally cost per month.

Apple Music Family Plan My wife and I both currently have an Apple Music subscription. If I switch to family plan and invite her will she need to cancel her personal subscription or will it automatically update? Doing this would also leave her current library of music intact correct?

My understanding is that if you switch to a family plan then the individual plan is automatically cancelled. See the footnote is step 5 of:
