CrossOver for Mac (Run WIndows Apps)
If you're using (or have used) CrossOver for Mac, I'd much appreciate your thoughts on using it. We're planning to run QuickBooks on it. Thank you very much.

If it were me I would just go to the source and run Windows on my Mac if I wanted to run Windows programs. Why introduce third party apps that may or may not work?
I thought about that, but installing QuickBooks is a bit of a pain, and I hoped I could get some comments on experiences before that step. Still, it's good advice, thank you.
You're welcome.
Do you mean running Parallels, since it uses Windows to run Windows apps.?
Wow!!! Thank you for all those options. Boot Camp sounds very interesting since it's part of the MacOS.
I took a quick look at Boot Camp...very interesting. As soon as I talk QB into a free trial, I'll try that and CrossOver.
I really appreciate all the help and information you've given me!!
I used it for a few years before Catalina, it worked pretty well with older software than newer apps. I bought it mainly for some old classroom apps but was able to run Oblivion on it pretty well. 👍
Meanwhile, I can tell you that CodeWeavers was always pretty up front about what works and what doesn't on their website.
I'd give the free trial a spin and see how it goes.
You can intall Windows two ways. You can install Windows using Boot Camp Assistant or using a virtual Machine like Parallels, Fusion, or VirtualBox. Boot Camp Assistant is already part of your MacOS and VirtualBox is a free virtual machine.
I have used Crossover for close to 20 years now, first on linux and now on the Mac. It's excellent software. I quit using Quicken and Intuit stuff several years ago, though. Your only reasonable choice is to try QB in it.
Most of the reviews of QuickBooks in Crossover (on the Codeweavers site) say you get basic functionality, and I don't think there's been a rating of QB in the past 5 years. https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/search?name=quickbooks
My thought would be they have a free trial so you could see how well QuickBooks runs on it.
