MMS not working solved
I have encountered the exact same problem with not being able to send or receive MMS from non Apple phones. I’ve been through months of troubleshooting with both my carrier (T-Mobile) and Apple.
Here is what it comes down to: the issue arises from an iPhone being setup with a backup file, as in upgrading your device and using a restore point to transfer all files and settings over. I just changed phones to an iPhone XS and was able to isolate the issue. When activating the phone via a backup point in iTunes, I kept having the same issue as I had on my iPhone X, namely “failure to deliver” any MMS to android users. Same goes with receiving. So what I did is set up the phone as a new device and just sync the most important elements like calendar, notes, messages, emails which is fairly simple. Again, do not activate the phone from a restore point as this seems to be the culprit of the MMS issue.
You then of course have to go through the process of downloading all your apps etc but, in my opinion, actually a good opportunity to do some cleaning and just downloading my the essentials. You will see that if you follow this procedure, your iPhone will be able to send and receive MMS without any difficulties. The ball really is in Apples court to recognize and solve this issue going forward. Hope this was helpful
