When I share my ETA it does not notify the person that I shared with.. no notification from maps and no notification via text. If the person I shared with opens the maps app then it will show that I am sharing my ETA but there was no notification that the sharing had been initiated. How can I fix this problem? I would like for people to know when I am sharing my ETA with them or it’s useless.

We understand from your post that when sharing your ETA from the Maps app, the contact you send it so doesn't receive the notification. Notifications for Maps under Settings > Notifications > Maps will need to be enabled on your contact's iPhone for them to receive the ETA notification. Does it make a difference if you are connected to Wi-Fi or not? If you have the notifications enabled but are not receiving the notifications maybe the Maps app is not enabled for use with cellular data. Tap Settings > Maps > Cellular Data > On.
If the same thing happens on Wi-Fi and cellular data then you may need to contact Apple Support for additional assistance.

i checked that prior to posting this forum and all notifications for maps were already turned on and he still didn’t receive a notification.
I checked to see if my notifications were on for maps and they were and then he shared his ETA with me and I did not receive a notification from maps either.
