Getting "Cannot Load Message" error when accessing iCloud (me.com) email from iCloud site on Chrome

I frequently access my me.com email account from Chrome, but over the past few days i keep getting a "Cannot Load Message" error, and the email will not display in the right pane. I have had no issues with getting my mail on my phone. As an experiment, I tested accessing my email from iCloud on Safari, and sure enough, it works.

I cannot find any settings in iCloud for displaying messages, and cannot figure out how to fix this. I prefer using Chrome as my browser, and will be very annoyed if I have to start using Safari now to access my email from my MacBook Pro.
