Monitor connected to MacBook Pro using Thunderbolt 3 USB-C cable not charging the laptop (reopened)

I think the problem is settings on the monitor. If you go into OSD, you can find an advanced settings option, and here you can set the smartpower to on (I think). I do not yet own one myself, but saw a video about it. The supercharge option should not be turned on, as this dims the monitor.

I have both P27h-10 and P27h-20.

P27h-10 charges

P27h-20 does NOT charge.

Please open a ticket in Lenovo and push them. Eventually we will get this working :)

And these are great displays anyhow.

I have a related problem but I blame the MacBook charger - at least that one should charge whatever the Monitor does.

MacBook Pro 2020, original charging cable plugged in. It's charging.

I connect P27h monitor with USB. Still charging. Monitor has charging disabled.

Both cables on the right hand ports.

At some point it stops charging even for states below 10%. Very annoying. The battery symbol always states charging but the state degrades to 0%. I'm not running anything heavy.

Very annoying. Haven't noticed yet when or what could cause it to stop charging.

I don't care which cable keeps the power up but I assume at least the original charging cable should be capable of doing so.

Thanks for posting your question. As we understand it, you're connecting your Mac to an external display for both use and charging, and it shows that it's running on the adapter as a power source and does not appear to charge. Is that right?

You mentioned you were going to test different ports on your Mac. How did that work when you tried it?

Have you tested another cable?

Does your Mac seem to charge as expected otherwise?

Depending on what you find when you test different ports and cables, a reset of your System Management Controller may be a helpful step. Here's how: How to reset the SMC of your Mac

I have this same issue, and it is not my Mac, it is not the cable. The P27h-20 does not properly charge a Macbook Pro. I have to use a separate charging cable to power my laptop.

This is a Thinkvision problem that they have not fixed.

I have the P27h-10 with MacBook Pro 13" 2017 four TB ports running Big Sur 11.0.1. It was working well for 3 days but now it stopped working. I tried restarts etc., nothing helped. MBP shows as connected to power, display shows PD 75 W but battery isn't charging.

The draining starts (that is, the charging/connection stops) after I lock the screen or sleep.
