macOS Catalina - Windows moving off screen

I'm running a Mac mini - Catalina 10.15.6 - Samsung CJ791 34" curved monitor. When the system is not getting any active input from me, application windows move to the left and top of screen after about 5 minutes. Clicking on the dock brings everything back. I think I may have inadvertently used a keyboard combination to cause this to start but have not been able to identify how to rectify that.

Greatly appreciate any advice on cause and fix please?

Go to Apple > System Preferences > Mission Control > uncheck the boxes that control Spaces.
