Since the ios14 update when I now email photos from my iPhone using either my work outlook or personal GMAIL addresses they are now sent embedded in the email message and not as jpeg attachments to the email. Why is this and how do I fix it or what settings can be changed, if any?
Okay I figured out a fix to this since we can't get a useful response from the Specialists. As a heads up, this was through Outlook, not Gmail, but I am assuming the process would be the same/similar.
There will be a couple of extra random files that won't be used, but a folder with all of the photo files will now appear in the folder you selected to save the email to!

Yes, I agree 100%. I’ve been using the iPhone default mail icon that is an option after you select photos you want to share, and I’m still having attachment issues.
Just FIX it Apple!!!
But how can you get to the web email client through the photos app? Won’t it open up the gmail app in the photos app?
Even my IT person and his team are unaware of how to fix this issue and they have always been able to fix any computer or phone related issues in the past.
This is also happened to me since I updated to IOS14. Very annoying when you email a photo it’s embedded then you then have to save each photo and rename it once received.
I am also very frustrated with this issue and would like to see a fix for the problem.

Nope, thanks for trying but that didn’t work or fix the issue. I need a fix that works on my iPhone not once I’ve already emailed it.

This is not a fix. Worked completely fine until the IOS 14 update. Really stupid that Apple cant reply with a fix for their own product.
I have exactly the same problem and it is driving me mad! I never want to send a photo embedded only as an attachment! Sort it out Apple! Your replies on this thread are totally useless.
