iWatch maps

I have a series 3 iWatch an iPhone XR , I’ve recently updated the watch to ios07 and I’ve now lost the ability to map my walks / runs , the watch only drops a pin at the starting point. The maps worked fine on ios06 , I’ve also been through the location services etc etc set up Apple advise you to do and this has made no difference at all , I’ve erased all settings and started again and still no joy ....... any help appreciated.
