MacBook Storage is Full (Photos)

My storage is super full with my photos, which I'm assuming is from my phone since I've only had my macbook for 2 weeks. I've tried unsyncing my photos from Finder (I've installed Catalina) but that hasn't seemed to fix the problem.

My MacBook Air is saying that its disk is almost full. I deleted all of the photos and have stopped it from syncing with my iPhone so that I still have my photos. Deleted photos from MacBook but storage space not reclaimed I deleted all the photos in my album (even the deleted photo less than 30 days) but it still shows up 20G+ in the storage.
