My 7th Generation iPad is only 9 months old. I left for several days and the battery when down to 1% all of a sudden. Now it cannot charge past 1% when plugged in and the screen goes black with a battery icon of a low red charge. My cables and plugs are all fine. SOS! Mahalo for any help!

If the iPad won’t charge or power-up, you may need to take your iPad and Power Adapter along to the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store - where the technicians will be able to test and diagnose the problem with your iPad.
If, however, the iPad will power-up whilst connected to the Power Adapter, then it would be worthwhile contacting Apple Support and requesting a remote diagnostic test.

Ok thanks- I did a reset hard and soft and it still won’t work. I am in Europe how can I get Apple remote support in Europe (I don’t speak the language to go to an Apple store which is actually not easy to get to) —and my iPad is still very young, even after three months of receiving my iPad this problem was starting. Oh by the way can I do remote tech-support through Skype calling? (Not Skype video). Thanks!
As previously described, your can contact Apple Support using the Contact Support link at top-right of this page.
There are various contact options from which to choose - such as online chat or a telephone call (Apple will contact you - either immediately or at a predetermined time). When using the Contact Support link, language will not be a barrier - as the support call will be in the language of your choice. You will be able to converse in English without difficulty.
