Hi everyone,
I accidentally spilled water on my macbook pro mid 2012 and then I immediately shut it down and have since left that in my room in a tent position.
It's been 48 hours since I did the same and now I'm confused whether I should try starting it on my own or should I take it to the service centre only.
Please help.
Also, I have put the macbook in tent position in my own room where air-conditioning is also there. Should I rather keep it in open or under sun?
Usually the first causality of liquid damage is the keyboard, trackpad and progressively get worse if not addressed to stop corrosion, before the logic board is damaged.
If you have AppleCare+ it will cover a large portion of accidental damage.

AppleCare+ (similar for iPhone and iPad, each incident of accidental damage) for Mac will carry its own price tag. Screen damage or “external enclosure damage” will run $99 per incident, while other damage, including water damage, will run $299. Users receive coverage of two incidents under AppleCare+, and after the two incidents have been used up, out-of-warranty replacement rates will apply
