Can’t open general settings on Apple Watch app

Same problem here... I cant open general on my phone for in watch app, it just blocks.

And my fitness data is all gone.

I really hope they come out with a solution soon... cause its really frustrating.

ASC - Late 2012 Mac mini, macOS 10.15.6; Watch, series 5 GPS/cellular, watchOS 7; iPad Air 2, ipadOS 14; iPhone 8+, iOS 14; TV 4th Gen, tvOS 14  HomePods, audioOS 14 and Airport Express w/ Airplay 2

Unpaired watch and erased data on it.

Now when I try and repair the following happens:

• I go to the Watch app
• I press start pairing. I then press Set up for myself.
• The app freezes and then crashes, in the same way it did when I selected General previously

I called Apple support and they couldn’t help, just said to take into the store which isn’t ideal in Covid times.

It seems like the problem is stemming from within the Watch app on iPhone - annoyingly this can’t be deleted and reinstalled because it’s a core iPhone app.

My phone battery isn't making it through half of the day. It used to make it all the way until bedtime. I wish they would hurry up and fix these bugs.

Same problem here - had the issue for about a week. Activity not transferring to Fitness app on phone - when I go on Fitness all historical data appears to be missing.

Also can’t click on General in Watch app on phone. When I do the Watch app freezes and eventually quits.

iPhone has latest OS and bug fixes. Watch says it doesn’t have 3.1GB data spare for update but only has two very small apps on there.

Received my apple watch today and it is not pairing and I am unable to swipe as screen is unresponsive. I have updated software in settings but I keep getting a message that my software is out of date. Bluetooth is on and airplane mode off. Please help

I am having the same issue with trying to update my watch. It won’t work! And now I’m not receiving iMessages or emails on my watch. If I try to go to general on my I watch app it just locks up I have to close the whole app to do anything!

I have the same problem. I updated both the watch and the iPhone but it did not work. The SleepWatch and fitness apps are blocked in a constant search for updates. Draining the batteries at an incredible rate. Any fixed yet?

Two days ago, and without doing anything, it just started working fine again, and all my fitness data is fine and save.

I didn’t reset the phone nor watch, waiting for an update that solved the problem. The update hasn’t arrived, but the problem is gone.

I had the same problem, but today I recently saw that my watch app general settings works and the fitness app synced with my phone also. Didn't do anything, it was fixed automatically.

I have this same problem. The watch app freezes when I touch on General, and also both fitness & health apps don’t show any data from the watch. I tried unpairing and re-pairing but out did not do anything and as a result all my previous workouts and awards are gone. Has anybody found a fix yet?

the problem fixed itself in two days.

check the app on your phone in a few days. I was so frustrated about it and talking to a friend and opened at to show them and it was working again 😳

Same thing is happening to me, can’t even access general to update and my watch app isnt updating my watch. Really frustrating..

I'm getting the same issue. I click on General and it grey's out like my fingers on it. I never opens General. I can't update my watch. Help!
