MacBook Pro screen is frozen while upgrading to latest IOS.

I'm upgrading to latest IOS on My 2012 MacBook Pro. After several hours, the screen shows the Apple in the middle with a white background and a black line underneath it that has been sitting there for an hour after downloading the IOS update. There is no movement. How can I get it to do something? Do I use the power button to shut it off?

Hey Rongadgetman,

We see that your MacNook Pro is frozen during an update, and we'd like to help!

Yes, you can definitely try powering off your Mac but there are other steps that are recommended. Please try the steps from the article here: If your Mac starts up to an Apple logo or progress bar

If the issue persists, you'll need to contact Apple Support team here: Contact Apple for support and service

We hope this helps!

Warm regards.
