Greetings, zuttmurph.

It appears that you're seeing an orange tint on the screen of your Mac. We'd also be concerned, and we're glad to help with this.

Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac – Apple Support - Reset the NVRAM (nonvolatile random-access memory) of your Mac. See if the orange ting has vanished once your Mac is back to the desktop.

About macOS Recovery - Apple Support -- If you're still seeing the orange tint after resetting NVRAM, restart your Mac in macOS Recovery.

Get Support - If it's still present in macOS Recovery, please contact Apple Support. After selecting this link, choose which type of Mac you own. Type "display" in the Search topics field and choose "Display issue" from the results.

Take care.
