Move iCloud Drive files to D:\ Windows 10

Hi,

I've recently got a new PC and have a 256GB SSD. I don't want my iCloud Drive stored on this SSD, I want to put them on the HDD, D:\.

I've done the research and executed the MKLINK command to 'trick' iCloud Drive to put files on D:\. Problem is that it is now putting them on both C:\ and D:\. The link appears to be successful when I view in Windows Explorer. It shows the folder with the arrow. But, nonetheless, I've got all files on both drives. OneDrive is disabled as I did have problems with it not allowing me to change the location of some of the folders that I back up on iCloud Drive. After reinstalling Windows 10 and having a local login I was able to get around this problem.

Why does Apple not put an option into specify physical location when installing iCloudDrive. I'm so fed up at this point I'm considering scrapping iCloudDrive and going to another service. I like iCloud Drive because everything is easily setup to move throughout all devices as I have an iPhone and iPad, but this is ridiculous!!!
