Macbook Pro Touch Bar freeze at login and can’t force restart.

Hallo,

My 2017 MBP with touch bar won’t responding to any keyboard when the screen shows password login after open the lid, but the keyboard somehow seems like working properly, it can wake up screen as usual, and apparently the touch bar shows button for command Safari, and it can control Youtube (because last time my browser were on Youtube) to play and pause even the screen only shows login screen.

I’m trying to force shut down by pressing and hold power button for a very long time, and it can’t restarting, is there any option to restart the MBP?

Thanks in advance.

Hello ayumm,

We see that you're having a few issues with your touch bar, and you've also been unable to restart or shut down your Mac.

Let's first address the inability to restart. Let's see if you have any apps running that are preventing the shutdown or restart. Use these steps to check for running apps and force quit them.

Close any listed apps, then try to restart or shutdown your Mac.

If you're able to restart or shut it down, we want you to reset the NVRAM and the SMC next to see if we can get the touch bar to work correctly.

If the issue continues, try starting in safe mode and test the touch bar.
