Mac OS 10.15.7 installation

I installed Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7 and now my iCloud doesn't work.

Can't send/receive mail. Can't update shared calendars or lists.

Help! This is a *huge* problem!!!!

My data is shared across a network of multiple devices and computers. But also I have no way to communicate with anyone.

iCloud Issues- perhaps For over a month, "calendar," ex-iCal has not synced between the cloud server and my MacBook Pro (MBP). It does sync with my mobile devices-just not with the laptop. Now, "messages" no longer works on the MBP but does work on the mobile devices. My hunch is that there is an issue with the iCloud and MBP connection. Even my local computer consultant, a well-respected, professional, business-oriented consulting firm cannot figure out the problem. What suggestions do you have for my working toward solution, please?

My iCloud Email seems to be Offline and its mail is not moving into Apple Mail? Today I established an iCloud email address. It works fine on my iPhone because email messages sent to my iCloud address go directly to my Apple Mail inbox. However, it is not doing so on my Macbook Pro. I followed the instructions "macOS Ventura 13.3 or later: Choose Apple menu > System Settings, click [your name] at the top of the sidebar, click iCloud on the right, click iCloud Mail, then turn on Sync this Mac." I followed those instructions but found no "Synch this Mac" command. All the iCloud mailboxes have the triangle And when I click on it, I get... I have been trying again for an hour. I have restarted my Mac and still, it does not change. I do get emails in iCloud.com

Actually, I am locked out of iCloud, since doing the upgrade to 10.15.7.

The specific error message I get is "There was an error connecting to Apple ID server."
