Message notifications not working since 14.0.1 update

Not getting any notifications now that 14 has been rolled out. Might have been working with 14 but definitely not with 14.0.1.

no popup. No sound. Just a number on the message icon. Tried all the stuff on the internet for fixing. None work (of course). Kind of crazy that this has happened so many times with ios updates. Anyways any news on the fix for this?
