Is there a way to add/drag images in a Keynote presentation to the photo gallery in order to use the replace image feature in the edit mask panel?

To add an image to the image gallery, (Insert > Image Gallery) do one of the following:
1 - go to the right side panel; Format > Gallery then click the + button at the bottom of the Gallery list and navigate to the required image
2 - using a Finder window, drag an image on to Image Gallery list
