How do I stop my Mac and iPhone from autosyncing.

I don’t know how many times I have to try to get myself out of this hellworld so I can actually use my mac.

HOW DO I TURN OFF THE £¢∞§ AUTOSYNC?

Connect the phone to the computer via USB.

Select the phone in the left column of the Finder window.

Scroll down in the General tab to Options and uncheck "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected".

Do you have iCloud turned on for either the iMac or iPhone?

Also, and most important, do you have any third party antivirus, security, cleaning or other "maintenance" apps installed on the Mac?

It’s a wifi connection. I couldn’t eject the phone, couldn’t disconnect. I have Catalina. 10.15.6. I had to do a hard restart twice before I could shake the phone off the system.
