this is what happens when I try to install the IOS14.0.1.

I try it many times and it shows the same error again and again.

I had the same exact error over and over AFTER it failed due to not enough storage space for the install file. I freed up space and then started getting that install error every time. To finally fix that error, I had to:

  1. go to iPhone Storage under Settings+ General and delete the downloaded iOS file.
  2. Make sure I had enough space.
  3. Power OFF my iPhone.
  4. download and Install iOS 14.0.1.
  5. it installed fine after that Powering OFF once I had deleted the iOS download file.

This was using Wi-Fi and Cellular Data already turned on. Fyi.

If it helps, I had the same issue and I did the following, based on the advice offered on here:

  1. checked I had Mobile data turned on
  2. did not bother deleting the update
  3. checked I had enough spare storage (not maxed out)
  4. rebooted the iPhone (device was a 7, so home button and power button held until the Apple symbol shows)
  5. ran the update as normal and it worked!
